I'm in a relationship but want to apply on my own. Is this possible?

If you’re engaged, married, in a civil partnership or living as a couple, you must apply together. This applies whether you are already living together or plan to move in together in your new home.

Once your combined eligibility has been assessed, and the outcome decided, you can then request to be assessed as an individual applicant. This option is not automatically available to everyone, but can be discussed with our team as an option once the outcome for your joint application is confirmed.

If our team confirms that you can reapply as an individual applicant, note that you will have to pay the Application Fee again, when submitting your application. We will however refund the original fee, so you will only pay one fee in total.
