Mark Spence

Mark joined the Board in 2025 and serves on the Audit, Risk and Governance Committee.

Mark is the Chief Executive of the Construction Employers Federation (CEF), where he leads public and government engagement on a wide range of policy matters that affect house building in NI. Mark serves on the Audit, Risk and Governance Committee.

Mark is a graduate of Queen’s University Belfast holds an MBA from Ulster University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

As well as his role in CEF Mark further supports the construction sector:

• Managing Director of Construction Futures, a company that addresses recruitment and retention of talent into the industry
• Managing Director of Construction Federation Services Limited, which delivers safety and environmental accreditations specific to the construction industry
• Appointed by the Economy Minister to the Board of the Labour Relations Agency
• Appointed by the Finance Minister as industry representative to the Procurement Board
• NHBC NI Committee Member.
