We're Co-Ownership - Northern Ireland's regional shared ownership provider. Government-backed, regulated, and committed to making home ownership possible for people who might otherwise be unable to buy.
Over 45 years, we've built an organisation led by people with diverse expertise in housing policy, finance, customer support, and legal services. In this section, you'll meet our leadership team and Board, understand how we're governed and operate transparently, and discover the social responsibility work we do beyond shared ownership itself.
The Co-Ownership team
Co-Ownership is built by people who understand housing, and care about their customers and making home ownership accessible. Our team brings diverse expertise - from housing policy and finance, to customer support and legal conveyancing. We're based in Northern Ireland and work across the region.
Explore Our People to meet our Board and Executive Leadership Team, who provide governance and strategic direction. They bring experience from a range of backgrounds, and together they ensure Co-Ownership operates in line with our objectives.
Governance and policies
We believe transparency builds trust. That's why we publish our key policies and governing documents openly.
Within this section you'll find key corporate documents, including our Rent Policy which sets out how we calculate our customers' rent - clearly, fairly, and consistently. You can see exactly how we determine what customers pay.
The Co-Ownership Rules outline our legal standing, charitable objects, and operating principles. These are the rules we operate by, and they're public.
Our annual reports show our financial performance, impact metrics, and strategic direction. And Corporate Social Responsibility is covered through key documents like our Social Impact Reports, and Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals.
For all this and more, explore Publications & Policies to access these documents and understand more about our performance and impact.
Social responsibility
As hinted at above, social responsibility is something we take very seriously; we're committed to having an impact beyond individual home purchases.
Our social responsibility initiatives address affordability, energy costs, and community wellbeing. We work with customers facing cost-of-living pressures and highlight energy-saving programmes and tips which can help save them money.
Charitable initiatives such as our Community Fund provide grants to community organisations doing important work across Northern Ireland, and actively contribute to stronger communities.
