Daniel Egerton
Daniel is a sustainability specialist with a background in construction, manufacturing & consumer products.
With expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Daniel's work reflects the increasing importance of sustainability within business decision making. He is an advocate for a just transition to net-zero and believes that both public and private sectors have a crucial role to play in delivering sustainable communities in Northern Ireland.
Daniel is a Queen's graduate, having studied a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, as well as a Master's degree in Sustainable Development. He is also a member of the Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals (ISEP).
In his current role, Daniel leads the delivery of Eakin Healthcare's Environmental, Social & Governance programme, supporting the company's UN Sustainable Development Goals alignment & commitment to achieving net-zero by 2045. His work spans carbon reduction, sustainable product development, responsible sourcing & corporate governance.
In previous roles, Daniel gained substantial experience in the public sector of Northern Ireland, focused on social housing decarbonisation, retrofit of legacy social homes, and reducing embodied carbon in the construction supply chain. He has also led the delivery of award-winning sustainability strategies in the private sector, including aligning businesses to leading frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
