What happens if my application is declined?

If your application is declined, a member of our team will call you to explain why. We understand this can be disappointing, but hopefully by understanding the reasons, you'll be able to take action to fix the issues before reapplying.

If you do want to reapply, you’ll need to wait at least 3 months before submitting another application. In some instances, a longer wait is required, but we'll confirm if this is the case when we speak with you. 

Before reapplying, we recommend speaking with a financial adviser, checking your credit report and taking action to fix the issues that caused your application to be declined the first time. Don't forget that a new assessment fee will need to be paid also.
