Homes only available through Co-Ownership

Some new homes across Northern Ireland are now only available to buy through Co-Ownership - here you'll find out why, and how you can apply for one.

The planning system in Northern Ireland is changing. This means that many new housing developments will include homes set aside as affordable homes. Co-Ownership is an affordable housing option, and some of these new homes will only be available to Co-Ownership approved customers.

As this rolls out across more council areas, we expect more homes to become available.

If you're interested in one of these homes, you can ask the Estate Agent selling the property or the Developer to reserve it for you. You will need to be eligible for Co-Ownership’s support to buy the home, and have a valid Co-Ownership Approval.

Buying through Co-Ownership: two options

There are two ways to buy a home that's only available through Co-Ownership.
